In 2018, Lebanon imported goods worth $ 19.9 billion. The top imported product to Lebanon in 2018 (19%) was commodity group 2710 "Petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, other than crude; preparations not elsewhere specified or included, containing by weight 70 % or more of petroleum oils or of oils obtained from bituminous minerals, these oils being the basic constituents of the preparations; waste oils." - the value of imports of this category was equal to 3.8 billion USD.

Also, structure of Imports to Lebanon in 2018 includes the following principal commodities:

  • 5.74% ($ 1.14 billion) - 8703 - Motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (other than those of heading 87.02), including station wagons and racing cars.
  • 4.82% ($ 963 million) - 3004 - Medicaments (excluding goods of heading 30.02, 30.05 or 30.06) consisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses (including those in the form of transdermal administration systems) or in forms or packings for retail sale.
  • 3.44% ($ 687 million) - 7108 - Gold (including gold plated with platinum) unwrought or in semi-manufactured forms, or in powder form.
  • 2.01% ($ 402 million) - 7102 - Diamonds, whether or not worked, but not mounted or set.
  • 1.91% ($ 382 million) - 0102 - Live bovine animals.
  • 1.77% ($ 353 million) - 7214 - Other bars and rods of iron or non-alloy steel, not further worked than forged, hot-rolled, hot-drawn or hot-extruded, but including those twisted after rolling.
  • 1.7% ($ 340 million) - 3002 - Human blood; animal blood prepared for therapeutic, prophylactic or diagnostic uses; antisera and other blood fractions and modified immunological products, whether or not obtained by means of biotechnological processes; vaccines, toxins, cultures of micro-organisms (excluding yeasts) and similar products.
  • 1.3% ($ 260 million) - 8502 - Electric generating sets and rotary converters.
  • 1.18% ($ 236 million) - 8708 - Parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of headings 87.01 to 87.05.
