In 2018, Sierra Leone exported goods worth $ 205 million. The top exported product from Sierra Leone in 2018 (12.9%) was commodity group 0307 "Molluscs, whether in shell or not, live, fresh, chilled, frozen, dried, salted or in brine; aquatic invertebrates other than crustaceans and molluscs, live, fresh, chilled, frozen, dried, salted or in brine; flours, meals and pellets of aquatic invertebrates other than crustaceans, fit for human consumption." - the value of exports of this group amounted to $ 26 million.

Also, structure of Exports from Sierra Leone in 2018 includes the following principal commodities:

  • 10% ($ 20 million) - 1801 - Cocoa beans, whole or broken, raw or roasted.
  • 9.36% ($ 19.2 million) - 4407 - Wood sawn or chipped lengthwise, sliced or peeled, whether or not planed, sanded or end-jointed, of a thickness exceeding 6 mm.
  • 8.81% ($ 18.1 million) - 8704 - Motor vehicles for the transport of goods.
  • 6.87% ($ 14.1 million) - 0303 - Fish, frozen, excluding fish fillets and other fish meat of heading 03.04.
  • 6.76% ($ 13.8 million) - 2620 - Ash and residues (other than from the manufacture of iron or steel), containing arsenic, metals or their compounds.
  • 4.23% ($ 8.7 million) - 2617 - Other ores and concentrates.
  • 4.22% ($ 8.66 million) - 1511 - Palm oil and its fractions, whether or not refined, but not chemically modified.
  • 2.95% ($ 6.07 million) - 2615 - Niobium, tantalum, vanadium or zirconium ores and concentrates.
  • 2.69% ($ 5.52 million) - 3606 - Ferro-cerium and other pyrophoric alloys in all forms; articles of combustible materials as specified in Note 2 to this Chapter.
